The use of Aluminum Bolts is recommended for connecting aluminum components. If only materials with the same electrical potential are used, galvanic corrosion will be avoided.
Aluminum generally exhibits very good corrosion resistance to environmental influences. Especially in combination with galvanic processes such as anodizing.
It is a good electrical as well as thermal conductor and it is not magnetic.
Thanks to the very low coefficient of friction, Aluminum Fasteners enable high tightening efficiency at low tightening torque.
Especially in relation to its low weight (approx. three times lighter than steel), aluminum impresses with its mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength and yield strength, and is therefore often irreplaceable in lightweight construction.
The possibility of anodizing aluminum in color makes it versatile in terms of decorative aspects.
When aluminum is recycled, only a fraction of the energy required for new production and the greenhouse gases emitted in the manufacturing process are produced.

Aluminium (EN AW-7075 T6 / W.-Nr. 3.4365)
ur Aluminum Fasteners are usually made of aluminum alloy Al 7075 T6 (AlZn5.5MgCu / old designation AlZnMgCu 1.5). They are manufactured either on CNC machines or by cold forging (pressed).
They are characterized by high tightening efficiency. If the screws are anodized, the anodizing layer effectively protects against corrosion/weather and industrial influences.
Aluminum Bolts are approx. 70% lighter than comparable steel screws. The raw material has a tensile strength of approx. 540-600 N/mm2 and a yield strength of approx. 420-480 N/mm2. This means that Aluminium Bolts can sometimes even be used as a substitute for Titanium Bolts.
Maximum torque for tightening of Aluminium Bolts – roughly approximate values in NM:
These values can only serve as a rough guide. In the specific case, different factors such as the production technology, the drive type, … does play a role.
Aluminum is a soft material. In case of doubt, it is always worthwhile to reach for Titanium Grade 5 Bolts.
Cold forged vs. CNC machined Bolts made of Aluminium
The differences due to the manufacturing process are mainly expressed in the optical quality of the bolts. Fasteners produced by the cold forging process may have notches/textures at the surface due to the manufacturing process.
The cold forged Al Bolts we sell are relatively close in quality to CNC milled variants, depending on their size and head shape. They have a very good price/performance ratio.
If the focus is mainly on the visual appearance, it is recommended to use CNC milled bolts. Please contact us if necessary, the common types are also available at short notice.
